Company Delivers Computer Game By Promised Release Date; Game Fails To Sell
by Blur
Computer game company hArDSoFt delivered their new game by the promised release date. Unfortunately
there is no threat that store shelves will be emptied of copies of the game by rabid gamers doing their
Christmas shopping (right before Thanksgiving). In a recent press conference, hArDSoFt CEO Bill Smith
blamed the game's apparent commercial failure upon his company's seemingly misconceived notion that if
the graphics were not bleeding edge, this would benefit gamers by not forcing them to upgrade their
computers. "We hoped that we could sell more copies this way. I guess we were wrong."
Smith then stated his theory of a conspiracy of hardware manufacturers out to ruin hArDSoFt for daring
to release a new game which didn't make existing computers obselete. He quickly shut up when glared at
by an individual in an expensive tailored suit wearing dark glasses. Smith then turned to the gameplay
of the new game was "out of this world" according to beta testers. Strangely, download sites
and gaming magazines refused to carry the demo. It was rumored that the demo was "accidently"
mislabelled as "MyLittlePonysBarbieWorld.exe", which proved unpopular with gamers.
