Participants In War Games Take It Out.. For Real!

Burnaby, BC

19-year old Billy Marshal was shot and killed at a local internet cafe after winning a duel that involved him and the shooter, Yu Fook.

This match involved a game called CheaterStrike, a war game in which two teams, a group of "hax0rs" (hackers) and the "Anti-h4x" (FBI) try to outsmart each other in a game of wits that involves weapons smuggling, cheating and above all, trash talking. Oh, did I say cheating? If I did, nevermind then.

"What happened, shouldn't have happened, but then again it's a risk you take when dealing with hackers", Wendy Tate, a regular patron of Gamers R' h4x.

The shooting resulted after Marshal had won the contest and had persistently pestered the loser by chanting "Fook me? No Fook you!"

Witnesses say that the victim was "getting rowdy" and the shooter was very angry. Apparently Mr. Fook had been recovering from anger problems and was currently seeking counseling.

Initial police reports confirm that Mr. Fook left the premises and came back with two other people "of oriental background" and approached Marshal. Witnesses were treated to a funny display of rapping as the trio pushed Marshal to a corner while rapping "Asian Pride".

"Oh, it was horrible", manager El Hajaj commented.

Witnesses crowded around, however after hearing "Fuck with me, you fuck with all, don't think it's cool. One on one FUCK THAT, it's three on one NO DUELS!!" Mr. Fook pulled out a pistol and shot Billy Marshal in the head. Everyone cleared the building in panic.

"There's not much I can do," owner Ier Haxe said. "Get a metal detector or some sort? Come on! Get realistic here. I only offer a place where people can play games and stay off the streets."

Police agree that for all intents and purposes, places like these do keep violence off the streets. However, as Constable Bill Owens points out, it doesn't prevent violence from happening. Initial reports also confirm that it was all gang related, hence the lyrics the trio were rapping.

Operators of internet cafes are now making patrons sign a waiver form, forfeiting their life while inside the premises. As extreme as it may sound, it will contribute to the control of the human population.
