NMW started out quite humble, a simple backyard wrestling group based in Kalkaska, Michigan. Regularly drawing about a dozen people max.
Slowly we amassed a slight fanbase, and through the aid of our friends, our community, and our contacts, around 2005 we grew to a small-time promotion, running house shows almost all week, with at least one taped session a week.
Our current shows pack around 60-80 people, and our fanbase in the Great Lakes area is rising steadily.
It is out commitment to bring the wrestling fan not just one style, but a steady mix of Hardcore, Highflying, Technical, and Brawling matches, with enough fluff in betwean to satiate the entertainment fanatics as well!
Late 2006, NMW suffered major setbacks, several of the workers not having time to do the shows, as well as a few other unfortunate events.
However, starting November 5th, 2007, a series of teaser fliers were seen all over Kalkaska and neighboring towns, as well as emails sent to the loyal fanbase. An overhauled website was the final notice that not only was NMW back and ready to rock, but it was also amped up for the new years ahead!
