About NMJO

The Northern Mississippi Jurisdictional Orchestra is a part of the Music Department of the Northern Mississippi Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ. It is comprised of volunteer musicians of all ages. Currently, we have over 75 members from various cities across Northern Mississippi. The instrumentation includes woodwinds, strings, brass, percussion, keyboard, organ, lead guitar and bass guitar. Membership is always open.

Our mission is to provide high quality gospel musical experiences for the benefit of the church and community. Also our mission is to provide instrumentalists of all ages and stages the opportunity to use their talents and abilities to the glory of God.
