fffffThere is not a particular reading experience that stands out to me. I have always loved to read and was an early reader as a child. My mother had a reader book set which I was reading at age four. I was constantly encouraged and instructed throughout school on the benefits of reading. I frequently read aloud in class and did so with confidence.

fffffReading has always been my strong subject as well as a source of enjoyment for me. I can remember being in trouble for reading a book when I was supposed to be in bed or cleaning my room. Some of the most precious toys and memorabilia that I have saved from my childhood are books and stories on records. I hope to bring this love of literacy to the classroom and help students to find that same enjoyment and fascination that I had when opening a book.
