Its strange being depressed without a reason.
Well actually, I have a reason--to prevent Dakumis suffering--but Im not the one it happened to, and as such my mind cant come up with a logical reason as to why Im still depressed. It only took me the last three hours to dissipate the guilt, but the depression has stayed. I dont have time to worry about it, however, because Ive got to go play the part of savior to Adel.
Hey, whats the matter with you?
I blink and glance up to see both Azami and Arashi heading for me; one looking worried over my depressed air and the other looking serious--all business. Then Azamis face lights up with realization and he speaks again before I can answer him.
     Its Dakumi again, isnt it.
You got it, I confirm with a slight nod, so why are you two out wandering around?
Well, Azami begins glancing at Arashi briefly before shifting his gaze to myself, you know how youre going after Adel today?
I want to change the plans, Arashi continues, raising a hand slightly as I open my mouth to protest, nothing that will get you in trouble. Ill even make it clear I trust you to Adel so your job will be easier.
He just wants a shot at your
wonderful brother, Zell, Azami says, throwing his support in, so is it okay?

Half-brother, I nearly growl in correction, and yes, I suppose it is. Try your best to kill him for me? Arashi smirks in amusement and nods.
If you watch Adel for me.
     Well, it
is more or less the job description.
     Its a deal, then.
With that, we headed in semi-separate ways (I took the long way to give Arashi some time) and the plan was set into motion.
I arrived in time to see Bladen and Arashi about to kill each other, stepping around the fighting Kiyo and Azami that no one else had noticed yet, even though they were throwing insults and threats back and forth rather loudly as they roll by. Shaking my head slightly, I decided the best course of action would be to ignore them (lest I get dragged in somehow and Bladen and Arashi really do kill each other in the meantime).
Adels stronger than he looks, apparently, for as hard as I pull on his arm to drag him off, he doesnt budge the slightest bit. His gaze is locked with Aras for a brief moment before Ara glances to me.
Na, Delsus, take care of him for me, he calls before returning his attention to Bladen. Adel gives Bladen one last glare before he lets me lead him through the small forest that surrounds the cemetery without a look back.

Adel doesnt even question the destination until we arrive at my front door. Snapping out of his daze as we come to stop he blinks and shakes his head slightly, still seeming rather lost.
     Where?
My apartment. They dont know where it is, so its safe enough. He nods slightly and I unlock the door and step inside, causing both Dakumi and Callie to glance up from where they stand by the counter (or on it, in Callies case).
Introductions are made and I thought I caught a brief flicker of recognition as his glance met Dakumis, but it was gone as soon as it had appeared. Apparently he was still too out of it to recognize the silver-haired snake, which was good because Id forgotten about the fact he might and things could get complicated if he did.
Youre worried about him too, arent you
I blink, snapping out of my thoughts. This depressed air is working for me, which is good because Im not sure I could believably fake concern for Arashi without it. Its not like were enemies, but I wouldnt say were friends either.
Yeah, I say with a sigh for added effect, but he can take care of himselfits a little comforting.
Adel nods slightly in understanding and I manage a slight smile. Theres been a rough spot or two (and a potential rough spot or two left), but things have still managed to work out according to plan--for now.
