So after living at Kiyos for the past two days, here I am, heading toward where Adel supposedly is. I half expect to find that Devon has gotten there first and has warned Adel just to mess with me, even though thatd make his job harder and piss off Ishiro besides. But no, theres Adel, standing calmly amidst the gravestones like one would stand in a field of flowers.
     Honestly Adel, you never learn.
He glances up with a start, look of surprise turning immediately into a glare. Its so amusing how he hasnt realized it yet. Amusing and sad how devoted he is; its almost too easy to trap him.
I take it you didnt miss me, I say with a sigh, taking a few steps forward, which makes him back up, thats a real pity.
Damnit! Stay away from me, he practically hisses, Ill
kill you!
Poor Neko-kun, I smirk, grabbing his wrists before he can grab his gun, youre afraid of me, arent you?
What the hell do you want from me he asks in a low tone as he glances to his right side, Cant you find someone else to terrorize?
I think you know perfectly well what I want from you, I tell him, placing a light kiss on the side of his neck and nearly laughing at the expected shiver, and as for why, Arashis not my most favorite person right now. And you are closest to him, so you know how that goes.
Devon should have shown up by now. This thought crosses my mind, but I decide to ignore it and the nagging feeling somethings off. Ive got more important things to worry about anyway.
Let go of me, Adel demands, though rather quietly.
Youre not struggling, I point out, leaning closer, maybe you dont want to get hurt again ormaybe you did miss me. I release his wrists as I punctuate this statement with a kiss, and he shoves me back with a dark glare.
     You
wish I missed you.
Actually, I could care less whether I have to force you or not. The subject of things being less painful for you or not isnt a concern of mine. He opens his mouth to say something, but his glare turns into a look of surprise, and the reason just stabbed itself through my shoulder.
Sure enough, as I turn around (though I half-expected it to be Devon) Arashis standing there with a look that could kill.
Nice to see you too, Ara, I tell him, pulling the dagger out of my shoulder, this belongs to you, doesnt it? When I glanced up, I realized what he was doing as he pulled back his fist but it was too late to attempt to block, and I wasnt about to back down, so I took the hit.
His punch hit me hard in the stomach, purposely aiming for the spot were he knew the gash hed given me earlier was, so in retaliation I swung my fist in an uppercut, hitting him in the bottom of the jaw and making his head snap back. He was thrown off-balance, only for a second, but it was enough to take advantage of anyway. My punch missed, it only clipped his shoulder. He was recovering fast and had regained his balance.
Im not too sure on the rest of the details of the fight, as (to use the clich) it all happened so fast. Most of what I remember is scoring hard hits and receiving them, sometimes at the same time. In any case we eventually realized Hey, we have weapons! and so it ended with me holding the dagger to his throat and him holding the gun to my chest.
Adel, who hasnt moved from his spot behind me, finally snaps out of his daze, now that we could easily kill each other, and takes a step forward in what I guess was going to be an attempt to stop us from doing so. However, Devon chose that moment to show up and grabbed Adel by the wrist, then attempted to get the hell out of dodge, but Adels not moving since dear Arashis life is in danger.
Nevermind the fact hell come back if he gets killed.
Na, Delsus, take care of him for me, Arashi calls, the effect being that Adel lets Devon drag him off with this statement while giving me a look that clearly says hell hunt me down if Ara gets killed again. Whatever.

As soon as theyre both gone, we were apparently thinking the same thing about using the slight distraction, because we grabbed each others wrists and aimed each others weapons at less fatal points. Then we have a conversation casually; you know, as if we hadnt just tried to (and were still planning on trying to) kill each other.
So, now youre making Devons job easier?
Its a truce of sorts, he says with a slight shrug, he watches over Adel for me for awhile, and I get rid of you for him.
Thats a pretty lofty goal, I smirk in response, youre getting ahead of yourself.
     Thats what Kiyo said too.
My world just froze; my heart stopped when he said that. Arashi exploits the chance, I end up pinned in the snow, and, speaking of snow, some managed to get past my jacket and down my shirt. For the record, I
really hate snow. And how it melts and leaves cold water running down my back, as if the initial coldness of it wasnt bad enough.
What the hell did you do to him? He has nothing to do with--
     So
now you care about what happens to those not involved? Arashi and his condescending-as-fuck tone interrupt me, After you messed with Adel to get to me? Guess its a different story when its someone important to you.
     Oh, get the fuck
over yourself, I hiss, complete with free ice cold stare thrown in (limited; while supplies last), you think the world revolves around you? I admit that was part of the motivation, but it was nowhere near a majority of it.
I wonder what would happen if you had to go through the same thing, he muses, hair falling over his shoulders and into his face as he leans down, what
would you do if the tables were turned?
