X FORCES AND THEIR EFFECTS
La. DESCRIPTORS OF MOTION
Students will know that things move in many different ways and that each motion has an associated direction, distance, and time
- 1 explore the different manners in which one can move from one place to another
- 2 use appropriate terms to describe the direction in which one is moving
- 3 using a variety of objects of different shapes, observe their paths of movement across a flat surface
- 4 observe and record how objects move differently along surfaces of different textures
- 5 construct ramps of different heights and measure and compare the distances that balls, or other objects, roll down them
- 6 compare the time taken for balls, or other objects, of different sizes and masses to move down ramps
