The best way that I see these outcomes accomplished are by sitting with your child in your arms and reading materials that you both enjoy to him and with him as much as possible. That way you can put your finger, or his, on the words and guide him in the reading so that he begins to associate the idea that the letters you are pointing to have something to do with what you are saying.
Proof of these learning outcomes being covered can again be recorded with journal entries and pictures that also include a list of favorite shared materials.
