Chapter 11…….Circulation

Students should be able to:

·        Identify the circulatory system and its role

·        Compare the circulatory system of earthworm, insects, and humans

·        Describe how blood is pumped through the heart

·        Explain what causes the sounds the heart makes

·        Trace the path way of blood through the left and right sides o the heart

·        Discuss the importance of arteries

·        List the four properties of veins

·        Give the function of capillaries

·        Explain how blood pressure is measured

·        Trace the events before and after a heart attack

·        Relate ways to help prevent and correct heart problems
