About Mike

There's a lot to tell but it is hard to tell without sounding like I am into myself.  So I am going to keep it somewhat short and sweet.  I dabble in just about everything as my interests indicate. In addition to listening to music, I have my own band: Extension 21. I also am involved in many different musical side projects. It's strictly for fun and not for profit. It is not like anyone would buy my weird stuff anyways. I recently got married to an awesome woman named Allison and I work a 40 hour job doing engineering. I have one sister named Denise and two parents who are still married. David and Cynthia take a bow.  I grew up in suburban Detroit, Michigan. I still have a lot of great friends and family who live out there. I'm 100% Polish, which is pretty unique.  I've been to the North Pole in Alaska. I belong to the All American Boys a club consisting of my uncles, cousins, friends and my dad. Every year we invade Canada to drink their beer and fish their lakes.  I currently reside in suburban Jersey, something I'm told is shameful.  I graduated from Michigan State in 1999 with a degree in Computer Engineering.  I also am working on a Masters in Computer Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology which I hope to complete in the Fall 2006.

Interests
My interest include:  listening to music, making music, watching movies, playing old school video games (Nintendo/Super Nintendo/Genesis), cooking, fishing, travel, technology, sleeping, reading, breathing, picking scabs, jogging, singing in my car, amusing myself, watching the Red Wings, hiking, drinking the occasional beer, failing at any sport I try, bowling, and being obnoxious.

Favorite TV Shows
My favorites never last on the air for very long, but I enjoy Arrested Development, the Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy, and the Office.

Favorite Movies
Some of my favorites include in no particular order: Fight Club, Shawshank Redemption, Breakfast Club, Donnie Darko, Godfather 1 and 2, Office Space, Pulp Fiction, The Royal Tennebaums, Bottle Rocket, Spinal Tap, About a Boy, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Favorite Music
There are too many bands to list but some include: Pixies, Clash, Rolling Stones (60's-70's), Bauhaus, Kinks, Beatles, Jesus and Mary Chain, Beck, My Bloody Valentine, Yo La Tengo, Depeche Mode, David Bowie, Cure, Radiohead, Cars, Simon and Garfunkel, and Tom Petty.

Favorite Books
I usually read a lot of news articles in addition to the Week which is a great magazine. Some books I enjoyed are: About a Boy, Huck Finn, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Running with Scissors, Brave New World, and Animal Farm.

Favorite Food
Some of my favorites are:  salmon, chocolate of any kind, anything with onions in it, any kind of vegetable minus acorn squash and sweet potatoes, sushi, tuna, any kind of fruit, ketchup, and egg and fake sausage sandwiches.
