Well, it's been AGES since I updated with some news so here it all is!!!!
As for Mourning, Bill and I have been working on the new material for sometime now and we have 5-6 new songs completed for the next CD! We're excited about the new material and cannot wait for J.J. to return to the fold to start rehersals on all of them! We're looking to write another 2 or so and complete the track listing! We're also looking to do a cover or two to pay homage to 2 bands that influence us in GREAT deal!! The cover songs will be announced once permission is given, but two new song titles are "Mourning the New Dawn" and "Sarciligious Burial". A CD name has not been decided but will be announced soon!!On my myspace.com page (http://www.myspace.com/mikeconnors) I posted a blog about working with someone to write and record a demo. Well, we're still talking about it since my time is consumed writting new Mourning material. I will talk about that soon!! Concerning the January 28th show, thanks to all that came to see it! Unfortunatly for Mourning we weren't able to give 100% due to me being too intoxicated. I apologize to those who were disappointed and the next time ya come to see Mourning it'll be a 1,000% BETTER set!! I guarantee it!! And finally, I'm trying to reunite Ryan A. Inman, Rob Lesniak and I for a Dislimb reunion for a show or two as well as a new CD!! I hope this pulls through, so look for that!!!! That's all for now, I hope to have more soon for you all!!! Well, Happy New Years to you all!! It was a drunken one for me as I hung out with the Unhallowed cats and it was a blast!! Anyway, it's been a little busy but not much happening. Mourning began rehersals for the show on January 28th and they're goin well. We completed 2 new songs for the show and dropped one off the set list. We decided to drop "Embrace the Apocalypse" in order to fit the 2 new jams into our set list. "Mourning the New Dawn" is the newest one and it is INTENSE!!! It mixes up everything we did on the "Blinded by Hate" MCD and also picks up where that disk left off. "Sacriligious Burial" is kinda new, but with a new set of lyrics. It was originally was gunna be on "Blinded by Hate" but was cut cause it didn't fit the vibe of the disk at the time. Yesterday at practice, Smoke from Death Sick came by to hangout and he's a cool cat!! We cannot wait to thrash out this gig and tear shit up!! Anyway, the new jams are coming along great and are sounding better and better everytime they're gone over to ensure they sound good! I'm also working on one or two songs that aren't for Mourning. Once they're completed with one or two more, I'm gunna enlist a drummer to help record a promo/demo and circulate it around. That won't happen for another few months since the new Mourning songs are going into swing at the moment. Plus, Mourning in the upcoming months are gunna be looking to be playing more shows around NJ and abroad! I'll be posting about that after the gig on the 28th!! The weather outside is getting colder and that means old man winter is upon us!! Plenty of coffee will be drank in order to keep warm, as well and playing some ultra fast Metal!! This year should be festive and productive where as last year was goin decent till the last half of it and it all crapped out! Watch out for a brutal 2006!!! Catch up with ya'll soon!!!!
