Mourning - Blinded by Hate MCD
Bill Pope and I met back in 2001 or maybe 2000 and became friends off the bat, best friends even! I moved to Cleveland, OH to work on Dislimb and we still kept in touch. Mourning's 1st two songs I cannot recolect weather we started work before I left for Ohio or when I came back. I just remember we had 2 killer songs written (Impending Doom I wrote myself and Embrace the Apocalypse he wrote). After those two songs we collaberated on the rest and wrote killer songs. We were gunna originally use a friend of his to do drum machine work but that fucker never kept in touch. In turn we posted ads on sites and message boards for a drummer (that reminded me of my beginings!) and had no luck for awhile. Bill and I kept writting material and then one day a drummer emailed us back! J.J. from Divine Rapture contacted us and little did we know we all knew eachother!!! We started jamming with him on "Embrace..." and "Impending..." and he clicked off the bat. Rehersals were tight and consistant due to his schedual but all made due! Finally in December 2004 we entered Pigeon Club Studios in Hoboken, NJ and recorded our best 5 songs that ultimatly became the "Blinded by Hate" MCD. Although I drank a bottle of Jagermiester through out the session (only ONE bottle and I eventually got drunk) we got through it all and it came out well (Thanks Jagermiester!!!)!!!!!!! Right now, Mourning is pushing the MCD to different labels in order to get picked up.
