This page contains news to this site and a change history to the New Jersey Ki Society Virtual Dojo pages. Of course, only the the most meticulous Configuration Management geek would be interested in the change history, but the news aspect is handy. Why should you have to roam all over this creation to find itsy-bitsy enhancements & new stuff?

The change list is sorted in reverse time, i.e., latest on top.

October 13, 2005:

    *  Started construction of the Chester County Ki Society
       web site -- see below.  For now it lives on these premises, 
       but may move out.


July 26, 2005:

    *  Touched up details such as rank, address, etc.



November 29, 2004:

    *  Belatedly we announce our participation in the The Eastern Ki 
       Federation.


November 12, 2004:

    *  Finally updated the schedule and dojo location. Life does march on...

    *  Also, Bill and Bengt are teaching a class at the West Chester YMCA in
       in Chester County, PA.


January 18, 2004:

    *  Dummy entry to prevent Yahoo/Geocities from deleting our Web site.
       I suppose we should have done something around here in the last
       three years, but real life marches on outside of cyberspace...


October 17, 2000:

    *  Changed Webmaster contact to [email protected]


October 16, 2000:

    *  "Ki in the Workplace" is suspended due to potential liability issues.

    *  Changed Webmaster contact to [email protected]

    *  Updated class schedule and dojo location.


September 28, 2000:

    *  Added us to the Ki-Aikido Web Ring.

    *  Added the New Jersey Ki Society Virtual Book Store for the benefit
       of our students and visitors who'd like to support our Real Dojo.

    *  Moved Quick Definitions in the top page for less wasted space.

    *  Finally changed all [email protected] to [email protected]

    *  Kashiwaya Sensei's Ki-Aikido.net is finally online.
       Ki-Society.org is redirected to it.  Good show, Sensei!
       However, Ki-Society.net is still open...
       As I predicted, Ki-Aikido.org is now registered to an italian, 
       probably because Ki-Aikido.it was taken.

    *  Linked the Ki sign to the coming Ki-Society.com (HQ)


September 19, 2000:

    *  "Ki in the Workplace" moves in with NJKSVD due to corporate policies
       against unapproved hobby sites in the corporate domains.


July 21, 2000:

    *  www.geocities.com/njks.geo seems dysfunctional -- returns other sites at random;
       revert to www.geocities.com/tokyo/dojo/1804 until we move off Geo altogether.

    *  GeoCities/Yahoo no longer supports the [email protected] mail addresses.
       Changed all [email protected] to [email protected]


June 6, 2000:

    *  Retained the old *.htm files, but with immediate links to their *.html
       counterparts, in case someone has them bookmarked.

    *  Uploaded the NEW NJKSVD to GeoPutzes while looking elsewhere...

    *  Linked Tohei Sensei's picture to an interview at www.jhoonrhee.com,
       a great martial arts site.  Look for the writings of Will Reed!

    *  The New Jersey Ki Society Virtual Dojo now has its own domain name,
       http://www.njks.org/.

    *  The Webmaster -- yours truly -- now has his own domain,
       http://www.bengtlindblad.com/, or "Bengt Lindblad dot-com."


May 23, 2000:

    *  Added SECRETS OF AIKIDO - Volume Two - Volume One - 5  TEN PRECEPTS FOR
       SPIRITUAL TRAINING and SECRETS OF AIKIDO - Volume Two - Volume One - 6
       KI SAYINGS.


May 21, 2000:

    *  Due to the difficulties experience with GeoCities/Yahoo, we are looking
       for another (free) provider.


May 12, 2000:

    *  The top page was completely revamped, along the lines of "Ki in the Workplace."


May 8, 2000:

    *  Moved the preliminary versions of Secrets of Aikido, Volumes One and Two
       from the "Ki in the Workplace" page to the New Jersey Ki Society Virtual Dojo.

December 14, 1999:

    *  Started converting Secrets of Aikido, Volumes One and Two to HTML as
       sales of the printed version has dwindled.


December 31, 1999:

    *  Area code changes turn Sensei's age old 609-829-7323 into 856-829-7323


November 1, 1999:

    *  Created "Ki in the Workplace" and invited some close colleagues to 
       participate in preliminary Ki and Aikido training in the company gym.


March 11, 1998 19:11:22:

    *  Homesteaded the New Jersey Ki Society Virtual Dojo at GeoCities.com.


August 1993:

    *  Offered Secrets of Aikido, Volume One (second edition) to the assembled 
       Aikidoka and Sensei the 1993 Ki Instructors' Seminar on Maui and got 
       the master copy signed by all the high-ranking Sensei, including Tohei Sensei.
       On file at the New Jersey Ki Society Real Dojo.


1992:

    *  Published Secrets of Aikido, Volume One.  Volume Two 
       remains an unpublished work in progress.  Volume One sold 
       for years, essentially paying for a long running ad in 
       Aikido Today Magazine.


1987-1991:

    *  Bengt Lindblad started writing Secrets of Aikido, Volumes One and Two.
       They started out as a collection of papers and handouts which grew
       to 200 pages all-together.
