Though I was looking for a text book on KI what I found was a book that has summaries of practical KI for our daily life. The most impressive thing is the fact that relax and calmness is the key to a great strength. Book allows you to see that anyone can learn and apply KI.

Book of Ki : Co-Ordinating Mind and Body in Daily Life by Koichi Tohei. Book Description Koichi Tohei explains his four principles to unify mind and body. This book tries to help you learn these four principles, apply them and then teach them. The book is rather small, though its goal is large. It is very easy to read and understand by us westerners.

Ki in Daily Life by Koichi Tohei. Book Description Koichi Tohei has written a masterpiece. "KI in Daily Life" has been the most accurate description so far of KI that I have read. It is ideal for the novice to advanced student. Tohei not only describes in detail mediataion, and excercises to build your inner power, but also pictures and demonstrations. In conclusion I recommend this book from the beginer to advance students in KI, and a must read for all Martial Artists.

Kiatsu by Koichi Tohei. Book Description This out-of-print book is a must if you wish to study the finer details of Ki. Koichi Tohei Sensei describes "Kiatsu" -- pressing with Ki. This is similar but different to "Shiatsu" -- pressing with hands. If you find it, buy it.

Ki : A Practical Guide for Westerners by William Reed, Koichi Tohei. Book Description William Reed has tried to define and teach the meaning of KI so that we in the west can learn. The first part of the text helps us undersatnd KI, develop KI and pratcie KI. There are a series of excericses and a section on KI meditation. The second part of the text goes into KI development in the Japanese Arts (Shodo, Aikido, Kiatsu, Go, Noh and teh Tea Ceremony). And the third part, Ki in our ever changing world. A must have book.
