The Townhouse S.Rocco.

Image

Townhouse San Rocco is located on the top floor of one of the oldest buildings in Barga, already existing in the 15th century, as shown on contemporary drawings of Barga. The building is on one side of the church square, at the end of a narrow stone alley and next to the old stone bridge that connects the old and  new part of town. Despite its proximity to the town's shops and cafes, the house is peaceful and quiet. The central location of the townhouse can be seen on the airview picture of Barga, where it lies at the left-bottom corner.  This house is now a landmark, as featured in a painting that the Italian painter Mino Maccari (1898-1989) executed while vacationing in Barga.

The townhouse has been newly renovated in authentic Tuscan style and has panoramic views of the Park, the Apuan Alps, the Castello,  the church of San Rocco, and, at the end of the alley, the main town meeting place (Il Cedro) with its cafes and restaurants.

The house has a large living room, a modern kitchen with washing machines, two to fivebedrooms, Two renovated bathrooms, a balcony, a nearby located garden, and an entrance that affords private access to the park.  It is fully furnished with traditional Tuscan furniture and completely equipped for a comfortable stay.
