Iris started out as a young teenaged member of the Goth scene in New York and it was while at a Goth club when she was 15 that she met a Alexander Therion's sister, Cleo. Cleo became friends with Iris and her boyfriend and eventually was privy to their little secret ..... Iris and her boyfriend were into blood-letting. The second the thick, sweet smell of Iris' blood touched Cleo's nostril's the vampiress knew that if saved now, this one would go far.

Iris' blood is uncommonly sweet and just a little can give even the oldest vampire a real buzz. SHe is one in a million, and Cleo saw that right away.

Eventually Alexander's sister showed Iris what she really was and told her that she could make quite a name for herself at the Couches. At first Iris was hesitant, but one taste of Cleo's blood and the power that could be made and she was a goner.

Iris is twenty-five now though she doesn't look a day over eighteen thanks to the drops and sips she shares with those she shares her bed with at the Couches. But Iris' job at the Couches is not to feed the physical hunger of the male patrons of the club, she was hired by Alexander and Cleo to be a blood doll and as such she doesn't worry about the grisly fates she sees for many of the other girls that go in and out of the Thirteen Couches.

Iris can always be found at the Couches if she is needed as Alexander and Cleo have given her a set of rooms next to their offices on the second level to live. Her job is to be a vessel for the vampiric patrons of the club to feed on, but if anyone were to ever try and go further than Iris wanted, she knows that her patrons would protect her.
