Magnus is one of the world's greatest mysteries, even Marie doesn’t know everything about him and she is one of the only people he trusts other than himself… the other being Lilith herself.  In fact his existence would be questionable if it were not for Marie or the motly of children he has sired as the creature Magnus. He is the myth and the legend. Some even say that he was the first vampire the Sisters made, though he once went by a far more ancient name.

As Magnus he was a haughty member of our kind. He is sarcastic and a trifle arrogant and he does what he pleases. Both he and his children once left a path of mortal suffering and death much to Marie’s anger. He was death to any that crossed his path and he did it because it amused him.

Then not long after the end of the Clan Wars, Magnus suddenly disappeared. Rumors amounted. Some said he had been killed in the wars, others said he had broken one of the Diablo Sisters heart and went into hiding, or perhaps too many had wanted his head and power and so he fled or went into torpor. Even more claimed he had never existed at all. Magnus’s children were dumbfounded. Where had he gone? Even Marie did not know where Magnus had gone though she knew he was not dead and she knew he had his reasons.

The truth is…he had made a pact with someone very important…only he can tell you who and for what reasons, that all traces of Magnus should vanish. And so they did. Magnus changed his name to Adam, in honor of the first man, a joke he still finds humorous and hid the power he possessed. He wanted none to remember who he had been or what he had been capable of, he had sworn this.

Most of the Priscus clan save Marie and the few children he has sired as Magnus do not know who Adam really is. They only know that he is one of Marie's most trusted companions, her advisor and that he has been around for quite some time. And none who know who he really is dare to breathe a word of it.

Adam is not a white knight nor is he black. Mostly he hovers somewhere around the grey areas. He does what he needs to do to survive and has no qualms on how that is achieved. His motto seems to be live long and grow stronger and survive the centuries. Not only is he content with that but it seems as if it has worked all of this time.

Adam is bored with both vampire and mortal politics. In fact he sees no point to them. Maybe that is why Marie rules the clan rather than him or then again maybe there’s more to that story then anyone realizes.

He came to Marie's aid in LA simply because he wanted to and most importantly because of the fabled Prophecy of the Kiate Triumvirate.  A Prophecy he plays a very important role in and a prophecy that could make him truly immortal or destroy both Forty and Kindred alike. His new interest in Jordan is an odd one...flirting with danger or are other reasons involved. After all she is one of the fabled sisters of the Triumvirate. Maybe Adam is not as grey as we think.

He followed Marie and more importantly Jordan to NY.  The outbreak was far too coincidental for him and he is determined to make sure that the woman he is falling with and the woman he fell out of love with are safe... if but for his own means.  He is here for no one other than himself and will not choose any side but his own. Plus he is eager to see Lilith again, the one and only person that knows him as good as he does.  Things could get very interesting in New York. Especially if Adam decides that being grey is boring.
