In this section we are taking notes about few issues that I found in the camera.

Video Recording stops when changing display mode or rotating the LCDWhen the display mode change from LCD to Viewfinder, if the camera was recording a video, the recording process stop. This can happen clicking on the button |SEL| or opening the LCD. Also rotating the LCD, that is quite common actions while shooting a video, the recording mode stop (when the image in the LCD flips). |

Interval-Timer Shooting and Time-Lapse should be faster then 30 seconds
The fastest time shooting is one shot every 30 seconds. This makes this potentially nice option almost useless because to create one minute of animation is necessary 15 hours! Would be better to have intervals of: 1/2 second, 1 second, 2 seconds and 10 seconds (see a table with a complete list of intervals). With this intervals would be possible to capture common actions that span between 15 minutes and 5 hours. |

Quick Preview and Playback Mode not always show the last picture Moreover the camera store pictures with same file name. There are situation where, after shooting a panorama or a sequence that are stored in separate folder, the quick preview shooting normal photo is not showing the last picture but keep showing the last picture of the sequence or the panorama. Commuting from "pause" to "play" take long timeWatching a video, commuting between pause and play is not a real time operation. This is usually done without any delay on all the cameras that I used. I wonder if this process could be improved. |

The option "Folders" has inconsistent behaviorsThe option "Folders" (pages 116 - 119 and 133) is present in two different positions of the camera settings:
- Playback > Menu > Folders Pages 116 - 119
- Setup > Folders Page 133
The behavior of these two instances is inconsistent and it can confuse users, especially if combined with the above issue about Quick Preview and Playback Mode not always show the last picture. For example from the first instance is possible to select the folder NIKON as default folder for Quick Preview and Playback Mode while this is not possible from the second instance. A solution to this issue would be simply removing the second instance in the Setup menu and leave only the first instance, that is more complete. |

 The camera seems not well balanced when hanging with the cord Probably the holes for suspension are in the proper position for the 8700 and 8800, but the lenses if the 8400 are much lighter and the camera then to line backwards (see image). |
