Barney was bred by Mrs. K Ray out of a red bitch Jade of Rodekes, the sire I have tried to trace back on his pedigree but it appears to be unregistered, but it appears to go back to Naukeen lines. 10/12/91
Barney was my first dog of my own, most has been said about Barney on the Introduction page, but what a character he was. He loved everyone, especially children, and everyone loved him, even people that didn't like dogs very much, or preferred small dogs seemed to fall for him. He even had it so that the Ice-Cream Man would stop outside our house just to give him an ice-cream. (which he would eat whole).
Sadly we lost Barney when he was 10 years old, and I would never be able to get another Bull-Mastiff, as it wouldn't be "Barney". Sweet Dreams Mr. Rubble

Skiandu Yoshi San Nikami (Yoshi) was bred by Ros Reynolds-Parnham of Skiandu Shiba Inus out of a sesame dog (Makoto Kaido at Kerrilands) and a red bitch (Wellshim Jasmine of Skiandu) 23/5/95
Yoshi was bought partly as a pet and partly for my daughter to show, who at the time was 5. At the dog training club she would handle Barney but he was far too strong for her, so Yoshi came along. He had a very different personality from a Great Dane, but I dont think he had the typical Shiba personality. He did very well in obedience and he even did average in agility, and from what I have heard from other Shiba owners, he was different as he was nearly always off the lead, unlike most Shibas. He was never shown at Championship level, but went to a few open shows where he did quite well. My daughter after a time lost interest in showing, and I was more interested in showing Danes, so he was kept just as a pet.
