Folbot Rudder Pedals Mounted On A Feathercraft K-1
The Folbot rudder center post (above) was shortened at the top to fit between the K-1 deck and keel stringers.  Stainless carabiner clips were attached to the Folbot pedal crosspiece.
The bottom support for the rudder post was made of a 2" aluminum angle.  The white "U" bracket and star knobs are from Folbot.

The upper support for the rudder post was made from a Schedule 40 PVC "T" and two slip couplings.  The smaller coupling was cut to half its length and is bonded inside the larger coupling.  The "T" is held in position by two stainless steel hose clamps.
The Feathercraft rudder pedals are perfectly adequate in controlling the rudder but I dislike trying to brace my feet on movable rudder pedals.  The following modification was made so that the Feathercraft pedals can be used as fixed braces for paddling while the Folbot pedals are used to control the rudder for sailing.
