Rockie Lynne, who we all know as Rockie
Rash, is living his dream.
After high school Rockie enlisted in the Army and spent his time at Ft.
Bragg in the 82nd Airborne. He went on to attend the Guitar
Institute of Technology in
Los Angeles. For many years Rockie played in cover
bands and as a studio musician writing his own songs all the while.
Congratulations to Dirk Robertson for earning his National Board Certification in early childhood education through young adult education - Library media. Dirk is the media center specialist at Mt. Mourne Elementary. (01/2005) Congratulations to Beth Lundy and her new husband Robert Braun. They were married on September 18, 2004 and we wish them many years of happiness and joy! More Good news: Congratulations and many best wishes to Ricky O'Brien and his new wife, Melisa, who were married March 1, 2004! Jeff Medlin and his wife Carol are the proud parents of a new baby boy, Cas Alexander Medlin, born January 30, 2004. Congratulations!! Congratulations to Dr. Todd Jordan who was recently awarded a dental fellowship award. Todd's dental practice is in North Wilkesboro. Congratulations to William and Bridget Burch Henderson on the birth of their twin daughters (Lauren and Bennett) born April 9, 2003! One of our own, Jeff Medlin, is currently stationed on the USS Lasalle. If you know of other classmates on active duty, please let us know so that we can share their information with everyone as well!
Special Notes:
GREENSBORO -- Barry L. Turner I, born Sept. 4, 1964, son of the late Harry and Corrie Turner, left this life to go home to with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 21, 2005. The funeral service was held at 12 p.m. Friday at Woodard Funeral Home Chapel in Greensboro. Barry is survived by his wife, Marie (Jenkins) Turner; two sons Barry L. Turner II, (BJ) and Antwon S. Turner of Greensboro; brothers, Harry "BO" Turner (Brenda), Keith Turner (Grace) of Statesville and Cheryl Attaway his loving companion who remained by his side to the end

It is with sadness that we report the death of a friend and classmate: Marlene Gail Speece Clifford Mrs. Marlene Gail Speece Clifford, 39, of Lexington, N.C., died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, at the Thomasville Medical Center in Thomasville, N.C. Please keep Marlene's husband and her parents in your thoughts and prayers.
