I am a clinical immunologist and rheumatologist currently involved in both basic research and clinical rheumatology at the University Health Network, Toronto.
During my protected research time, I am focusing on the immunological aspects of ankylosing spondylitis, a chronic disabling inflammatory rheumatic condition manifesting predominantly in young males as back pain and progressive stoop.
There are more than 400 patients registered at the AS clinic in Toronto Western Hospital. Dr. Robert D Inman, a world leader in AS clinical and basic research is the chief of the clinic.
