Calendulu:  (calendula officinalis)
-use flower heads
-heals all kinds of wounds; effective for gastritis and deodenal ulcers; can lower fevers; can relieve
mentstrual cramps; ulcers and promotes healing and wounds and burns; used to treat varicose veins
and skin diseases like shingles; oil is used to relieve painful earaches
-infusion -  1 cup daily
extract 10 - 30 drops in water or juice daily
*never use during pregnancy as it is a uterine stimulant

Cascara Sagrada:  (rhamnus purshiana)
-use dried bark
-stimulates digestive system secreations; mild laxative; effective for liver problems; intestinal gas,
colitis and hemorrhoids
-capsules 1 three times a day; tablets 1 three times a day; tincture 1 tsp. @ bedtime
*use lowest dose
*generally should not be used during pregnancy especially the first trimester

Catnip (nepeta cataria)
-use flower and leaves
-useful for nervous tension, hyperactivity in children, insomnia; treats colds and fevers; effective for
  stress induced diarrhea and upper respitory infections
-capsules 1 three times a day; tincture 1 tsp. three times a day; tea as needed

Cayenne (Capsicum frutescens)
-use the fruit
-mild stimulant; can improve sluggish digestions and relieve indigestion and gas; good tonic for heart
  and circulation; can stimulate appetite; used for colds, coughs, chills and bronchitis; can ease
  rheumatism, inflammatory joint pain and varicose veins {externally}

*liniment should not be used for long periods and never with broken skin

Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla)
-use flowers
-stress and tension reliever; treat symptoms of stress i.e. indigestion, nervous stomach and diarrhea;
  weak tea preparation for calming irritable children and colicky and teething babies; can combat
  periodic bouts of insomnia; calm menstrual cramps; ease tensions associated with menopause; ease
