Rarity 5. Morestone Coach and Horses. This 1949 model was made by FW Birch on behalf of Morestone. It has an unusual eccentric wheel mechanism that makes the horses gallop.
Rarity 5. Morestone Green StageCoach and rider. 1950. This coach has been recently discovered and predates the Essem stagecoach. The Essem coach has plastic horses that are taken from the same mold as these cream painted horses.
Rarity 5. Morestone red stagecoach and driver. 1950. Very similar to the green coach pictured above. Both coaches are previously unlisted. This may be a later casting because there is an additional strengthening bar moulded into the base. This is usually a sign of an improvement made to the mould once the original needs replacing.
Rarity 4. Essem Coach and Horses. 1952-58. This model was the first Morestone to feature plastic parts - the wheels, horses, connecting pole and men. Essem was a Morestone pseudonym (in my view SM - Sam Morris, founder of Morestone).
Rarity 4. Essem Coach and Horses. 1952-58. As above but with yellow rider and rifleman.
