| My name is Thax, I am the God of Death and the Undead, and used to be a servant of Arwan, former God of the Dead. Let me give you an insight to my rise to power and the status of Lesser-God. I began as a young Lawful Good mage in search of adventure and fame. I grew close to another mage named Mathus, whom at the time had my trust. Once, to save his life I gave up my soul to Glysia, Princess of Hell. This of course turned me evil, Mathus feeling guilty quested to save my soul, and he did, but I had already learned that in order to advance my skills as a mage and increase my power I had to get rid of the anchors of friendship. How many mages have died saving their friends? I also turned myself into a lich in order to rid myself of the constraints of the frail human body, which needs food, sleep, etc. My old 'friends' soon began to despise me and the black arts I used to further my goals. Sandor in particular hated when I would slay my enemies, only to raise them up as Zombies to serve my bidding. Mathus soon began many attempts to slay me, all of which had failed fore I had outgrown him in power. But it was Slandren that suprised us both, always the silent one we never expected his motivations. Slandren had taken the side of Sandor and all the other pathetic followers of goodness, and when he attacked me I was caught unaware and slain. I hold no grudges, even though he is the Lesser-God of Mages now, he too will die someday and become my undead servant. As Arwan the former God of the dead used to proclaim "Everything must die." I prefer to say that "Death is but a door, and I have the key." Why let death stop someone from serving me, when you can turn them undead and they will serve their purpose eternally! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Morgan My faithfull apprentence and devote servant. She took up where I left off after my death, she created the 'City of the Dead' on the Wastelands. The city is a city of Necromancers and undead. She was slain by Mathus in his palace shortly after its creation. |
