| My name is Lucretia, and I am the Goddess of Witches. Until my assention I was the Leader of the Council of Witches located on Pax Vale. As a member of the Council of Witches we were allowed to practice our art and magic freely, without the rigid structure of rules imposed by the Schools of magic. Although viewed as renegade mages by most people, our power is greater than that of the Schools, and even though they outnumber us at least 10-1, they were unable to defeat us in the Mage War. With the help of Warduke, God of War and Chaos, and my younger sister, Circe the Goddess of the Moon and the night, I was able to secure the protection of the Council of Witches and my own ascention to the status of Goddess of Witches. |

| The Council of Witches was formed over three hundred years ago by Samantha Rasthavin, daughter of Archduke Drox Rasthavin. The council was formed so that renegade mages, wild mages, and witches could practice their art in safety, away from the tryanny of the Schools of Magic. There is a specialty class known as a 'Sorcerer" that is only available to the Council of Witches. Prior to the council, those that did not follow the strict code of the schools were hunted and killed. Although still hunted, Pax Vale has become a sanctuary for the witches and mages and their increasing numbers eventually brought about the end of the Schools of magic. |
