Day 2
Wendi decided to wake me up at the ungodly hour of about 9am.  We had decided to drive to a few hotels to see if anything was out of the ordinary.  We stopped off for breakfast at Mc Donalds (while keeping an eye out for AJ!!!) and then headed to the the closest Marriot.  We drove around the hotel, and saw nothing.  Somewhat defeated, we headed to the Hilton.  As we were passing the main lobby entrance, we saw a guy outside with a walkie-talkie.  "Security," Wendi told me.  "They're here."  We drove further back in the parking lot and saw about 6 tour busses.  Thank God I never cancelled those reservations.

We went inside to see if we could still get a room, since I didn't show up the day before.  As we were standing at the desk while the lady checked on our reservation, we overhear Albert, the food and beverage manager, talking about AJ to another hotel employee.  He said, "AJ, it's 9am, I'm shutting the room down."  That had just happened that morning.  I hear someone come in the main lobby door and it's none other than papa Carter himself.  I was like, "Wendi, I think that's Bob."  The lady confirmed that we had a room for the night, so we headed back to our car, thinking the day couldn't get any better.  Things started getting freaky as we were sitting in the car in the parking lot of the Hilton just chillin for a few.  Both Wendi and I are big fan fic writers, and we normally theme our stories on songs.  As we were sitting in our car, the first thing we heard was Shape of my Heart.  Then immediately following that, we heard Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams.  Nick did a cover of his song Heaven at the Hard Rock Cafe for the comic book premiere.  Then a few minutes later, Journey's Be Good To Yourself came on.  We all know of Nick's love for Journey.  We then decided to head over to the Wyndam to see what we could do about getting our money back for the room.

After giving the people at the Wyndam a very sad sob story about a very ill grandfather in Alabama, we got a full refund.  We packed in record time and headed back to the Hilton.  We got checked in and decided to do a little investigative searching.  We got in the elevator and headed to the sixth floor.  We looked around, and nothing looked out of place.  We headed down to the fifth floor.  Again, everything was normal.  But when we got to the fourth floor, we looked around and saw five room service trays in the hallways.  "This is their floor," Wendi said.  "Count em, one, two, three, four, five room service trays."  I was expecting to see a bodyguard roaming around somewhere.  I was amazed at how lucky we were to be able to get all this information so easily.

We decided to head back down to the lounge and grab a beer before getting ready.  As we were sitting at the bar, I saw Krystal as she was on her way to the venue.  She has a very interesting look, but her voice was simply amazing.  I really wanted to talk to her, seeing as she's from a city about 20 minutes from mine, but I never got the chance.  Once again, at the bar, the song thing started up again.  Elton John's Sad Songs Say So Much filtered through the lounge.  Wendi used that song for one of her stories.  We then finished our beers and headed to the room to get ready for the show.

In our room, we listened to the usual assortment of songs we relate to the guys.  What's Your Fantasy by Ludacris is one of our favorites.  Voodoo by Godsmack remains the best song that evokes erotic thoughts about Nick.  Lately, I've been getting into Get Naked, by Methods of Mayhem.  There's a line that reminds me of the Nick penis interview.  The line goes something like, "Under 7 inches, eh, sorry."  Well anyways, enough of that.  We finished getting ready and it was only 6pm.  We called for our cab to get us at 6:45.  We decided to get another beer while we were waiting. This proved to be the pivotal decision, the decision that changed everything.

We were just minding our own business, drinking our beers and waiting for our cab when a hotel employee approached us.  He asked us if we were going to the show.  We said we were.  He had his nametag covered the entire time.  He then said to find out his name and that he might have a surprise for us after the show.  Then he walked away.  To say we were shocked would be an understatement.  The words "Oh my God" were said probably a zillion times.  We just couldn't believe that something that major was just handed to us.  The only thing we had to do was find out his name.  I went up to the bartender and asked him who the man was.  He said his name was Albert.  Mission accomplished!  We sat back and finished our beer.  At about 6:40, we started to head outside.  We found Albert and said, "B'bye Albert.  See you after the show."  He said, "Ok ladies."  We then said, "Have a nice evening."  His reply was, "Oh, I will, but mine won't be half as great as yours."  Then he walked off.  We just couldn't believe that this shit was happening.  We were in an utter stage of shock as we got in the cab and headed to the venue.

We quickly found our seats, and sat waiting patiently.  We wondered what Albert was gonna do.  I figured he'd probably arrange for a few minutes with the guys.  I know it was bad to say, but we were both just wishing the show would be over.  We knew something big was waiting back at the hotel.  Krystal finally came on about a half hour late.  While we were waiting for the cab, a limo pulled up.  Nick was still at the hotel as we were leaving, so I guess they didn't want to start the show until Nick was there.  He probably was too caught up in beating the next level in Final Fantasy or something like that.  I'm sure he got an earful from Kevin once he got to the venue!!!!  Anyways, Krystal was great.  Her voice is just awesome.  As we were waiting for the guys to take the stage, I had this insatiable urge to hear Brickhouse and I told this to Wendi.  I swear, things were getting really strange cause not even 5 minutes later, what starts playing?  Brickhouse!  We knew at that moment that it was on.  This night will go down in history as the best night of our lives.

The show, once again, was awesome.  We had really great seats.  We were right in front of the sound techs so we had an awesome view for the round stage. We got some great pics.  I can't speak for Wendi, but I'm sure she'd agree that not a second went by that we didn't think about what was gonna happen when we got back to the hotel.  We were literally jumping up and down for joy when they starting singing Shape of my Heart.  The show ended, but our night was just beginning.  We rushed out and grabbed a cab back to the hotel, anxious to get back to the hotel, ready to fulfill our dreams.
