| Play My Song - Chapter 7 After having eaten, Sadie accompanied Nick into his dressing room where he had his make-up and hair done. She then went back to the �personal� seating area to wait for the show to begin. She watched as the crew walked up and onstage, bringing with them amps, guitars, drums, and microphones. She couldn't help but drink it all in. From the equipment to the crew to the lights to the instruments...her head was spinning. She envisioned this to be her tour and her concert. That it was her mic that sat center stage, waiting to be sung into. Her name written on the bass drum. Her fans piling into the venue. Her name on their signs and t-shirts. Sadie felt a wave of emotion come over her. She almost felt like crying, it was so surreal. Pull yourself together girl!, she thought. This isn't your show. Yet. Suddenly she heard someone calling her name. She turned to see her friend Rylie calling to her from the third row seats they�d purchased months prior. Rylie began to run over but was stopped by security. Sadie got up and spoke with the guards, having them give Rylie an all access pass as well. They both sat down and Sadie told her everything that had happened so far. �Wow! That�s incredible.� Rylie said. �I knew this would be a good idea.� Sadie hugged her friend, �Yes. Thank you.� �You�re welcome. So what should I do with the other tickets we have?� Sadie thought for a moment, then spoke, �We should go up to the nosebleed section and give them to somebody.� "You never cease to amaze me with your generous ideas." Rylie agreed and they left their seats, going backstage, then out into the crowds. They climbed the stairs all the way up to some of the very last rows in the back. The girls approached a young girl and what looked like to be her mother. Sadie and Rylie explained their situations briefly, then offered the girl and her mom the third row tickets. They happily accepted and the four of them walked down to the floor seating area. The lady and her daughter thanked the girls and sat down in the third row while Rylie and Sadie returned to the 'personal' seating. They�d made it just in time for the show to begin. Chapter 8 Back |
