| The Reception |

| THE PLACE: The reception was enormous at the Barton Hills Club & Resort in Austin, TX. Upon entering the club, pictures of Jessica and Nick lined the entrance surrounded by condles and a large quilt made by the guests hung at the entrance to the dining room. Time: 6:30PM Parking: Complimentary Valet parking Food: A menu was presented for the sit down dinner which provided everyone with what they were eating. Dinner: Featured Maine Lobster bisque Lemon thyme chicken and wild mushroom polenta Asparagus and Tomato compote Wheat rolls Baby leaf spinach salad and a cucumber/tomato/raspberry in vinegarette dressing. For Dessert: 2 White-frosted wedding cakes - the bride's and the groom's. The Groom's cake was a chocolate cake that had the University of Cinninati logo on it. TOASTS: 1. Best man toast: Drew told us how when he and Nick were boys they made a pact to be each other's best man, and they followed through on it. Drew got choked up a little talking about that part. Drew went on to talk about how he was going to embarrass Nick during the toast "nevermind, I'll let Nick embarrass himself on the dance floor". 2. Father toast: Joe gave a toast 3. Maid of Honor toast: Ashlee couldn't make it without several tears, but her punchlines was this, "You know...when Jess and I were little kids...we used to take baths together, its not fair - now Nick gets to take baths with her!" DANCES: 1. Father/Daughter dance, Jessica and Joe chose Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl". 2. Jessica danced with her groom to the music of a rocking swing band. 3. Country western singer Neal McCoy performed. He sang Van Morrison's "Crazy Love' for Nick/Jessica's first dance as newlywed's McCoy was accompanied on piano by producer-composer Walter Afansieff, who has worked with Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez and other. This was a surprise to Jessica from Nick. She had no idea Neal was going to be there. |
