| THE WEDDING: =========================== Bride: Jessica Ann Simpson [22] Groom: Nicholas Scott Lachey [28] ~~This is the first marriage for both ~~ =========================== Gifts exchanged before the wedding: "Earlier that day [Oct 26], Nick gave Jess a music box that played Shania Twain's "Still the One"; Jess gave him very sexy "JUST MARRIED" undies that she kissed while wearing red lipstick. She also gave him a framed poem she wrote to him. Nick wrote "Edge of Eternity" as a wedding present for Jessica. Best Man: Drew Lachey [Nick's younger brother - 26] 7 Groomsmen - Jeff & Justin were amoung them Maid of Honor: Ashlee Simpson [Jessica's younger sister - 18] 8 Bridesmaids - Jessica Cooper, Lisa Neff, Jessie [her dancer] were amoung them Wedding Song: 'Crazy Love' by Van Morrison Place of Wedding: Riverbend Church in Austin, Texas. Located on the Capital of Texas Hwy in SW Austin, out in the rolling hills near the Colorado River. ~ Ceremony: In a separate chapel off the main sanctuary ~ There were candles everywhere..in indentions of the walls, lining the aisles, little bouquets on the platform areas. The center aisle was covered with white carpet, and rose petals lined the edges of the aisle. The guests of the wedding were escorted to their seats on the outside of the aisles, so that the actual wedding montage were the only ones to walk down the aisle. Floral Designers: Mark Held and Joseph Arias Time of Wedding: 5PM (CST) - Lasted 1 hour After the string quartet played numerous songs, it began at about 5:30PM Cost: $200,000 Weather: overcast, misty and at times very WET Attendees: Approx. 300 people present Phototags: All camera's were forbidden. No guests were allowed to bring a camera inside the church or at the reception. All were confiscated at the door and returned when guests left. InStyle got an exclusive! There were at least 4 video camera's at the reception and multiple photogs with 35mm. Photographers: Joe Buissink, Ashley Garmon & Cristiana Ceppas Wedding Coordinator: Mindy Weiss Security: There was high security and lists determining who could attend the ceremonies. Local police officers stayed near the church to keep fans away from the private service and block entrances to the chapel. Guests were subject to searches and patdowns! ATTIRE: Jessica's gown: White strapless beaded lace gown by Vera Wang with a cascading train and short white veil. A 10.9 carat bridal headband. The train was about 5-7 feet long and she had trouble walking up the stage with it! Nick's Tux: A Black Hugo Boss tux with silk white shirt and tie. Sleeves adorned with silver cuff-links Tina: [Jessica's Mom] wore a beige dress accented by earth toned jewels Bridemaids: Tan and Earth tone dresses HAIR & NAILS: Jessica's hair was styled by Ken Paves. It was in long spirals and hanging down, accented with two $20,000 barettes in the back. Hair colorist: Rita Hazen. Manicurist: Melissa Bozart Washington. Stylist: Jessica Paster MUSIC: [Nick nor Jessica sang] 1. 98 Degrees [Drew, Jeff & Justin] performed "My Everything", with Drew singing Nick's opening part and Jeff singing the second half. They were backed up by a 25 voice black Gospel choir. At the end of the Ceremony this same choir broke out into "Oh, Happy Days", as thh newlyweds walked out and the whole crowd was clapping and jammin' along with them. 2. Jessica wrote a song for Nick called "My Love" which was arranged and sung by Trina accompained by the piano.
