| How They Met: The Love Story |

| Their Love Story: These two sweethearts have had a relatively drama-free romance since meeting. Nick and Jessica first met at the Hollywood Christmas Parade in 1998. Jessica opened for 98 Degree's tour in 1999 With the exception of a short breakup in April 2001 -- a six month separation. Jessica and Nick reunited and got engaged while in Hawaii [2/10/2002], shortly before Valentine's Day. Nick asked Jessica's Dad [while in Hawaii to see the Pro-Bowl football game], for permission to marry Jessica. Jessica was performing at the football game which put them on the islands. They credited the dramatic events of Sept 11, 2001 with reuniting them. She announced her engagement on her website: "yeeeeeeeessssss!!!" she stated breathlessly on the site. "He had been patiently waiting for me to grow up a little [which I needed]. And I did! Now my life feels so perfect." The pair recorded a duet "Where You Are" for her 1999 debut album, "Sweet Kisses." There personal nicknames for each other... Nick calls Jessica -- Jess or Jessie Jessica calls Nick -- Nick or Nicholas |
