On New Years Eve, just before midnight, during an affirmation of his pursuit to provide her with happiness, Andrew knelt and proposed.  The event occurred at  his older brother's house where the family was gathered for a New Year's celebration.  Andrew was rewarded with an immediate positive answer from Nicole.
          The couple were introduced to each other online as acquaintances and later friends by Andrew's little brother.  Their friendship grew into an understanding one and they gained knowledge of each other.  Because they were coming of prior relationships, they waited and worked on their friendship, ironing out trust issues and learning the personalities of one another.
          The ring presented to make the engagement official was a ring owned by Andrew and though not fancy, was fully accepted by Nicole as a symbol of the undying love they have for each other.
