"Hi." the two men mumbled to each other.

"Don't start." Aileen pointed to Kevin. "If you want me to even think about talking to you, don't start."

Nick smiled. "Don't worry, he'll be good!"

Kevin looked at him quizzically.

"The doctor'll kick you out if you get her upset, remember?" Nick stood up and held her hands to his lips. "I'll be back later, okay love?"

Aileen nodded and smiled at him. "Don't forget to tell the girls, okay? I need to talk to them."

"I'll call them right now, before I leave." Nick promised.

Kevin walked over to the bed and handed her the roses. "I guess you don't need these, but I wanted you to have them." he said, gesturing to Nicks flowers.

Aileen gathered the flowers in her arms. "They're beautiful, Kevin. Thank you."

Kevin sat on the edge of the bed and took her hands in his. "Aileen, I don't know what's come over me lately. I've been a monster to you and I want to apologize, but I don't know what I can say." Kevin looked down at the floor.

"Are you afraid I'm going to go with Nick? Is that what this is all about?"

Kevin nodded.

"Would you blame me if I did? After what you've done to me?" Aileen asked quietly.

Kevin brushed tears away from his eyes and shook his head no.

"Kevin, I just can't believe you did that to me, after those men did the same thing."

"I'm sorry 'Leenie, I lost my mind. Please come back to me." Kevin begged.

"Kevin, I can't just make a snap decision like that right now. I want to talk to my friends and think things over before I decide anything."

About an hour later, Lex, Kathy and Eileen burst into the room.

"What happened to you now?" Kathy asked.

"It's a long story." Aileen sighed and began to tell them what had happened last night.

"He actually raped you?" Lex exclaimed.

"Let me go on, okay? Aileen protested. "I need to get this all out and then try to put it in order. When Kevin left, I called Nick because I was so frightened. He calmed me down and then we ended up making love."

"What!" Kathy burst out. "After what Kevin did to you?"

"Nick didn't force himself on me." Aileen explained. "He was very caring and I was very willing."

"Wow!" Eileen marveled. "This is just like a soap opera."

Aileen shot her a withering glance. "It's my life thank you very much, and I'm very confused right now!"

"All righty then." Kathy said. "Let's get all the facts here. Kevin loves you but is an ass and raped you. Nick loves you, is the father of your child and is an all out wonderful person."

"So what's the problem?" asked Lex. "It's pretty clear that Nick comes out on top in this race."

"But I still have feelings for Kevin, I think, and Nick is my one of my best friends!" Aileen wailed.

"Look, nobody can tell you what to do or who to go with." Eileen said. "I know you will make the right decision."

"But how do I let one of them down?" Aileen pondered. "They almost killed each other last night. They have to work together and my decision will be hanging over their heads."

"They are professionals, they won't let it bother their public life." Kathy assured it.

"And anyway, you can't let that factor into your decision." Eileen said. "Like you said, this is your life."

Lex thought for a moment and said, "Well Aileen, it all comes down to this, really, who do you love? Do you love either of them? Who's in your heart?"

Aileen held her head in her hands and moaned. "I think I'll just move away and change my name!"
