"Morning!" Nick smiled, one of the first genuine smiles she had seen from him since the start of all this. "I forgot to ask you what you like for breakfast again so there's a little bit of everything!"

"I can see that!" Aileen laughed and filled her plate with muffins, eggs, and fruit.

"Jane and I were talking last night, and we really do support your decision. Just let us know what we can do to help and it will be done." Bob said to her.

"Me too." Nick said, around a mouthful of eggs. He swallowed and repeated. "Me too, 'Leen. I'm here for you whatever you need."

Since she had come with Kevin yesterday, Nick drove her home. "Thanks Nick, I really appreciate this." she said.

"I meant what I said last night 'Leen." he held her face in his hands. "I love you, and if I have to, I'll fight Kevin for you." Aileen looked shocked. "Okay, I'm just playin'!" he laughed. "I just want you to know that that's how much you mean to me, right now."

"Nick," she chose her words carefully. "You don't have to feel that you have to marry me or anything, just because I decided to keep the baby."

Nick continued to hold her. "You know I've felt this way for awhile, you saw the drawings I did of you."

"I know, but, I just don't know if I feel that way for you, we've been friends for so long." His face fell and he let his hands drop into his lap. "Nick, I have to give Kevin a chance, I can't just hop into another relationship. He at least deserves that much."

"Not after yesterday." Nick mumbled.

Kevin was waiting in her apartment for her. As soon as she entered he embraced her in a gigantic bear hug. "'Leenie, I'm so sorry for what I did yesterday. I was a jack-ass. Can you forgive me, ever?"

Aileen considered his question for a moment. "Kevin, your attitude yesterday was horrible, that was no way to treat me or Nick. I think we both deserve better."

Kevin bent down to his knees and hugged her waist. "I'm so sorry, baby. I mean that. Please give me another chance."

She put her hand on his head. "Kevin, I'm going to be quite honest and tell you that I don't know how quickly I can forgive yesterday. I was so ashamed."

"I understand." he took her hand and stood up.

Aileen looked him in the eye. "I'm willing to give you another chance because we've had such a good relationship up until now. We've been through a lot together. I know you've found out a lot of things in a short period of time and we all need to adjust."

Kevin kissed her and gave her another bear hug. "I'll be good baby." he smiled at her.

Aileen still looked serious. "But, if you ever do that to me again I am gone!"
