"How could you? After all he's been through!" Jane Carter spat at Kevin and ran into the house after her son.

Brian came over to Kevin and grabbed his arm. "I think it's time to go, cuz. You wrapped this party up pretty much."

"No way!" Kevin pushed Brian aside. "I need to take Aileen home."

"I don't think that would be a good idea, Kev." Howie said.

Aileen stood up and shoved Kevin. He wasn't expecting it and the force of it crashed him into the table behind him. "Get out of here now, Kevin!" she screamed. "The sight of you makes me sick!"

Kevin tried to grab her in a hug and she pushed him away. She started raining blows on him wherever she could reach and she didn't care where she hit. "Leave now, Kevin! Get away from me!"

AJ pulled her off Kevin and Brian and Howie succeeded in dragging him to his car. Aileen sank into a chair and put her face in her hands.

After Aileen settled down, she apologized to all the guests. She wanted to leave so badly, everyone pretended to carry on as before, but she knew they were all talking about her. Outside of the guys, no-one knew what she and Nick had been through. Now that Kevin had so eloquently let everyone know about her condition, it needed to be told. She couldn't hold it in any longer.

"What are you apologizing for, honey?" AJ asked. "Kevin is the one that needs to apologize to you."

Aileen dried her eyes and hugged him and looked around at the guests. "I'm sorry that I kept this from you all, from Nick. I need to tell you now, okay?"

For the next several minutes she told the tale yet again. She explained why Nick had shot himself, why she was keeping the baby, and why she hadn't told Nick yet.

"I'm sorry, Bob." she said looking over to Nick's father. "I never meant for this to happen, I never meant for Nick to find out this way. I had no idea." She felt fresh tears coming and put the tissue to her eyes. "I know Kevin is taking this hard. I really had no idea. It's been really bad since he left the hospital..." She was rambling and stopped herself.

Howie came over and sat beside her, he placed his hand on hers. "Don't apologize, Aileen. We know what happened there and we understand. It's okay."

Aileen stayed with the guys to help the Carters put everything away. They tried to persuade her to go home and rest, but she insisted. "It would help me to keep busy, I think. I don't want to be alone and I definitely don't want to see Kevin right now!"

Brian returned to pick up Kathy. "Aileen, I hope you're not going back to Kevin's tonight, he's as mad as a Kentucky wildcat! Actually, you should stay with someone else if you can, rather than go home."

"Why don't you stay here?" Bob offered. "Kevin wouldn't dare show his face here again tonight!"

Aileen thought and shook her head. "Under the circumstances, I don't think that would really be a good idea would it?"

"Nonsense, we want to help in anyway we can! For better or worse, that's my grandchild you're carrying and he's going to be looked after!"
