"So Nick, when's the nanny arriving?" AJ asked as he sat on the couch.
"She should be here any minute." The door bell rang. Nick looked nervously at AJ and Brian. Then he walked to the door.
"Hello Rachel. What are you doing here?" Nick said in shock. He had not seen Rachel since that day on the street. Nick knew that he didn't give Rachel his address.
"I'm here for the nanny position. Is this the right address?"
"Yeah. Come in." I followed Nick into the living room. AJ and Brain were sitting on the couch. Once AJ saw me, his mouth dropped open. Brian just grinned.
"Hey Rae. Long time no see."
"Hey Bri. Hello AJ. How are you?"
"Wow Rachey! I never expected to see you here in Florida." He hugged me.
"Well just because Nick is a jerk, doesn't mean I can't live in the same town as him." Nick rolled his eyes at me. Yes, I was still mad at him.
"So Rachel, do you want to hear about the job?"
I sat down on a chair and took a deep breath. "Yes Nick, please tell me."
"This would be a twenty-four hour, seven days a week job. Of course you will have time off. You would be required to go on tour with the Backstreet Boys. Also you would live here with Jackson and me. Do you have any questions?"
"Not that I can think of at the moment."
"So are you going to take the job?"
"When do I start?" I told him.
"Now. Jackson won't be home until tomorrow. He's staying with my parents. You can bring your stuff over as soon as possible."
"Ok. I'll be back later this afternoon."
"Do you need some help?"
"Not really. AJ or Brian do you want to keep me company while I pack?" Nick gave me a hurt look.
"Sorry Rachel. I have to go meet my girl at the mall."
"No problem. What about you Bri?"
"I guess I can go." Nick gave Brian a dirty look. Brian tried to explain to Nick with a facial expression, but Nick didn't get it.
"I'll be waiting outside. When you're done explaining it to Nick, we'll leave." I walked outside with AJ.
"Bri, you're a traitor. I thought you were my friend." Nick glared at Brian.
"Calm down, Frack. She just wants some company. She might need someone to talk to. Do you think it's going to be easy for her to be in the same house with you everyday?"
"No, but she tool the job. No one can resist me." Nick joked.
"You're such a dork. See ya later."
Brian jumped into my 4Runner. I could tell that he was more relaxed after convincing Nick that it was ok to go with me. I thought that was kind of funny that Brian need Nick's permission. "Is Nick ok with everything? I don't want him mad at me." I said sarcastically.
"I can't wait to see how long you two last living in the same house." Brian shook his head.
"I can ignore him. I'm doing this for Jackson. He needs a mother figure in his life since Ice Princess isn't around. What happened between her and Nick?"
"It's a long story. I'll tell you when we get to your apartment."
"Ok Bri. So do you have a girlfriend?"
"I'm seeing someone. Here name is Becki."
"Sounds nice."
We reached my apartment building and walked to mine. It wouldn't take me long to pack. I let Brian in and began to work.
