UPDATED MAP COMING SOON
Last updated 2/6/08 - I have added the garrote area, toy set finder, ioun list, and the tailor/cobbler trinkets. Still some quest shop items to identify, but I'll post the new map soon.

You are a fantasy creature (human, elf, pixie, orc, dwarf, etc.) with a particular profession (warrior, thief, magic user, cleric). You enter the game with few skills and as you fight things you can train more abilities and improve your statistics. You can join other people who are also playing (this game is played all over the world) with different talents and abilities. Eventually you can gain alignments, special abilities, and you even have the opportunity of becoming an ethereal dragon (which I have never done...yet). It can get quite addictive and I'd recommend you give it a try if you're a fan of RPGs.

Using a direct connection can be quite unfun (telnet did a great service to the world, but we like things that make sense and are easy to read) so below I'm including a link to my favorite "clients." They're pretty straight forward.

Macintosh: Rapscallion Mirror Site

Below are a few sites created by those who have much more time on their hands than I do. I thank them for being so kind as to make this helpful information available to others. Here there sites are, in no particular order:

Philo - One of the best players has made this site that I think every cleric should read before they get too far along in the MUD. You can find out how much experience is needed per rank, as well as directions and tidbits like that as well. He has also created a list of reputation items here.

Merlin - This page may be gone for good, but it had a room finder as well as directions and maps similar to Palissa's.

Redondo - This has a growing item inventory, which is quite nice. Most of the information here is for inquisitors. There area also directions and such, but I haven't used them.

Palissa - home of Palissa's wonderful map with just about everything you'll need to know about areas. Also has a wonderful scroll and potions list.

Sofia - This is a necromancer site only contributed by Sofia. Very helpful for them. Perhaps one day I'll make a healer type version of this. Rumor has it there is a newer version of Palissa's map here.

Janita - Jan, a somewhat retired player, toyed with most of the possible classes and ranks and collected a considerable amount of experience. His preferences, though, were towards the Necromancer and the Avenger, to which most of his site is dedicated. There is some rather helpful information there for every class, though, including an equipment list. Those are always nice too.

Saurian - Saurian made a site strictly for rank 10 people to calcluate things I still don't understand the value of. Oh well, its a site of worth, so its on the list!.

Dometeus - This is a very sloppy map of Dometeus, still a work in progress, but the individual maps are very organized and much more pleasing to look at.

Hauk - Hauk has been around longer than almost anyone I know. This website has some cobbler info, as well as the stats on rare equipment.

Sac - A high level druid that has provided this rather helpful list of Druid-only information.

Quest Helps

These are things that help with various quest types. Of course, Palissa's map is one of the best for most any quest.
