| William Thomas Towery was my grandfather. He was born in March 1848. He died 11-11-1936. He is buried at Sardis Cemetery. He first married Lovis L. Jordan or (Jourdan). They had the following children: 1. Claudia Towery b. ca 1871 2. Jaston or (Gaston)Luther Towery b. 01-1873 d. 1944 William Thomas married Dorah Ray. They had the following children: 3. Georgia Ann Towery b. 03-1878 d. 1974 4. Pearl Towery b. 05-1884 d. 1943 5. James Henry (Jim) Towery b. 07-29-1895 d. 03-23-1966 William Thomas married Arminda "Minnie" Thomas, born 11-23-1875. She died 03-08-1917. They are both buried at Sardis Cemetery, Leon County, Texas. They had the following children: 6. Vernon Towery b. 1908 d. 1910 7.
