. Ruby Parrish's Pecan Pie

1 c sugar
3 eggs
1/2 c Karo Syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1 c chopped pecans
3 Tbsp margarine
  Mix all ingredients well and pour into unbaked pie shell.  Put whole pecans on top.  Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until mixture is firm and will not shake.
                    Mom's Chocolate Pie

3 eggs yolks, save whites for maringue
1 c sugar
3 Tbsp. margarine
4-5 Tbsp. flour
3 Tbsp cocoa
1 c milk
1 tsp vanilla
Stir well.  Microwave 4 1/2 min.  Stir.  microwave for 4 1/2 more min.  Pour into baked pie shell.  Top with maringue.

Options:
For Coconut Pie-Add 3/4 c coconut instead of cocoa
For Lemon Pie-Add 2 tsp. Lemon Flavoring

Maringue:
Beat 3 egg whites until stiff peaks form.  Add 6 Tbsp. sugar an 1/4 tsp cream of tartar.  Continue to beat with mixer.  Add 1 tsp vanilla.  Pour on top of pie.  Seal to edges of crust.  Brown in oven.
           Blackberry Cobbler

1 stick margarine
1 c flour
1 c sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 c milk

Wash Berries.  Put in boiler and add 1 c water and 2 c sugar.  Bring to boil.  Boil for about 5 minutes.
Melt margarine in baking dish.  Pour batter onto melted margarine.  Pour berries on top of batter.  Bake until browned.
               Bread Pudding
Mix together:
8-10- biscuits, crumbled
2 c sugar
3/4 sugar
Let this stand.
Mix together: 
4 eggs 1 1/2 c milk
1 tsp vanilla
Add to biscuit mixture.  Pour into greased 9x13 pan.  Sprinkle with cinnamon.  Bake at 325 for 45 min.
Old Fashioned Rice  Pudding
6 eggs
3 c milk
1 c sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 c cooked rice
1 c raisins

Mix all ingredients.  Pour into casserole in pan of water.  Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 15 min.  Stir once after 30 min. 
Mike Price' Famous Bread Pudding
1 loaf French Bread, stale
1 qt milk
1/2 c sugar
6 eggs
1 Tbsp vanilla
Splash Amaretto
1 c raisins (soak raisins overnight in Wild Turkey, then simmer over low heat until Turkey evaporates)
In large bowl, soak bread in milk.  Add sugar, raisins, vanilla and eggs.  Mix lightly.  Place in well buttered baking dish.  Bake at 375 for 30-45 min.

Amaretto Sauce
1 stick unsalted butter
1 c powdered sugar
1/4 c Amaretto
1 egg yolk
Over low heat melt butter and sugar together, stirring constantly.  Add Amarretto and egg yolk.  Heat slowly for 304 min. to set egg.  When pudding is cool, pour sauce over pudding .
Nanner's Homemade Ice Cream

4 eggs beaten
1 can Eagle Brand Milk
2 pts whipping cream
2 c sugar
1 Tbsp vanilla
1 qt Halfn-Half

Mix all ingredients together.  Pour into ice cream freezer.  Finish filling to the line with milk.  Mix with ice cream paddle.  Freeze until firm.
So... Good!
So Rich Banana Pudding

1 large box vanilla instant pudding mix
1 1/2 c milk
Mix together until thickened.
Add 1 can Eagle Brand Milk
1 large container of Cool Whip
1 box Vanilla Wafers (save a few to go on top of pudding)
3-4 bananas
Mix all together.  Sprinkle crumbs of the vanilla wafers on top with remaining wafers.
My Favorite Never Fail Pie Crust

4 c flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 Tbsp. sugar
3/4 c shortening
1 c. margarine
1 egg beaten
1/2 c. ice cold water
1 Tbsp vinegar

Mix flour and salt, baking powder and sugar together.  Add shortening and margarine and mix until crumbly then add the beaten egg, water, and  vinegar.  Makes 5 pie crusts.
