Nanner's Chicken and Dumplins'

Sift:
2 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp soda

In a mixing bowl, combine:
1/4 c corn oil
3/4  c buttermilk
Sift the flour mixture into the liquid slowly.  Knead dough on a board until well mixed.  Roll out onto floured surface.  Cut into strips about 3/4 in x 2 in long.  I let the strips air dry for about 30 minutes.
Boil chicken breast until done.  Remove from broth and debone.  Cut into bite sized pieces.  Bring the broth to a boil.  If there isn't enough  broth, add water and a bouillon cube.  When the broth is boiling, drop the dumplings one by one into broth and also the flour.  The flour will help to thicken the broth.  Cook for about 20 minutes on a low boil.  Add the chicken about the last 10 minutes.
