What is Comedy Sportz? Comedy Sportz is a fun, fast-paced comedy show that's great for the whole family. It is improvisational comedy played as a sport in many high schools nation-wide.
How does it work? Two teams from different high schools battle for laughs and points as they make up scenes, games, and songs on the spot.The audience votes for the winners and the ref calls the fouls. It is live, interactive, hilarious, different, clean, full-proof, positive, and fun! Guaranteed!
Comedy Sportz has been with Northwood High School for 3 years now. First introduced to us by Alex Knox and Ryan Steel-they weren't quite sure what to do with it. As luck would have it, two members on the team-Brian Kuwabara and Justin Kupanoff-reintroduced Comedy Sportz the following year and its popularity with the students skyrocketed. Because of their influence, Comedy Sportz continues this year (managed by Co-Captains Danesh Noshirvan and Eric Depreister) as popular as ever.
