I have often
wondered about the class and where everyone is ... and what we all look
like (eep!). I did hear from Armand Beard about 15 years ago when
he was working for the city Planning Dept. in Jersey City, NJ. and James
Barron was somewhere in the DC area working with television technology
of some kind. Margaret Husinko was last heard from in Hawaii working
for the telephone company there -- but gee ... that was between 15 and
20 years ago ... maybe longer. 42 years!!!! (are you sure????
:) ).
.
I notice that Bill Brown is in Durango, Colorado -- hey, that's just
around the corner from me in Albuquerque NM -- a mere four hour drive.
.
My final name is Lorraine Lester but I've been single since 1985.
I have three kids, only my daughter is still in Albuquerque and she just
turned 21. –
.
I'm on the faculty of the University of New Mexico as a law librarian
and have been there for 27 years. Before that I was the serials librarian
at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho and before that, at the University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I got my BA in Psychology (in Greensboro)
and MLS in Library Science at Chapel Hill.
.
I've done a lot of caving on the east coast, and long distance mountain
running out here in the west (11 marathons, Pike's Peak Ascent, some ultras)
until around 1992. I'm quite out of shape now, but still have fantasies
of getting back into running.
.
I volunteer at the zoo and aquarium here in Albuquerque and travel around
the state in a "zoo to you" van with other volunteers visiting schools,
libraries, nursing homes, etc. with presentations focusing on biodiversity,
conservation, animal behavior, etc. great fun! Still, most
of my energy is still into law and information technology. Animals
and kids keep me sane.
