Wow where has time gone? I just wanted to say you've all done fantastically. I am very proud of everyone.  You have all mastered a lot of skills and material in the last several months and have worked really hard at becoming team mates and friends. Last week being homecoming week I know we were all crazy and stressed but it was one of the best homecomings! I was completely wowed by the freshman squad all season long! You ladies are phemonal !! Whenever I have challenged you with something you have jumped up and done it. I love watching you put together stunt routines for half times and quarters! You have the most cheer stunt routines out of any other squad and perform them wonderfully! I can't tell you how many countless compliments I've heard from the parents at the freshman games, the players, and the school staff. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK!! Sophomore squad has been a blast! I love your split stunts and your sassyness! You guys do a great job and I am really proud of you!! Varsity girls, we just have way too much fun.  You guys are great! I am especially proud of the fact that more people are taking part in stunting and we don't see the same people in the same stunts all the time!  Of course you also have the best Jiggalo!  I love seeing Brit, Court, Kayla, Cortney, & Allie up in the air! As we approach our first competition of the season I want you to stay focused, be positive, and believe in yourselves! You are phenomenal athletes and cheerleaders and I totally believe you can stick this routine and will be spectacular this Saturday!

Our first home game is coming! I know that you all are ready for it! Everyone did a great job at practice this week working on your cheer stunt routines and I know you'll wow them! Good job! Please be sure you are attending pep assembly practice on Thursday to get ready! The first pep assembly is always fun but can be a bit intimidating for our new squad members and this practice run will help you to know what to expect! See you Thursday night!

Just a quick note to say how very proud f you all I am for your hard work over this summer! It shows in the quality of your performance during the fall kick off games! Great JOB!  Keep up your hard work and dedication! Please remember when traveling all the bus rules we discussed and that you represent your school!

August 12
Well hope everyone did not mind doing something a little different today.  It was a much needed break from reviewing and getting ready for evaluations. The clap your hands dance is fun and we'll defenitely have to use it in a performance. The routine for fall kick off will come together shortly and I know you'll all be great! Next week after evaluations I'll give out the cheer words and we'll all learn the motions. Remember to practice over the weekend for evaluations. They are next Tuesday. There are cheer lists available so you know exactly what cheers you are responsible for knowing. We will draw ten at random from the list of 27.  You will also be required to know the Loyalty dance, Hey Song, Kick A Little, and Cotton Eyed Joe. Lastly you will be showing us your jumps. Both a right and left side hurdler/herkie, right and left front hurdler, double hook, and toe touch. After knowledge of the cheers we will evaluate you on sharpness, motion placement, and personality/facials.  Remember ladies should you not pass you won't perform until you have been re-evaluated and passed that evaluation.  Yes we will be tough, if we don't share with you what you need work on or are not performing correctly you will not improve, nor will it be helpful to you when you go to tryout again next year. On a whole everyone has shown alot of improvement from the beginning of the summer! I feel very confident about putting you on the field, that you are up to the challenge and will represent our team and school wonderfully well!  Have a great weekend and see you at 6:30am Monday morning!

August 4
Wow! It seems like so long since we've had a regular practice! It was great fun to share our new material from camp but now back to work ladies!! Now we will focus on reviewing all the material taught as well as alot of one on one help to get everyone ready for evaluations on August 19.  Remember you need to know the basic stunt positions. Basic safety for spotting and stunting.  10 cheers/chants drawn at random from the 20 taught during June & July, the hey song dance, cotton eyed joe dance, kick a little dance, and loyalty dance. Then we will review your jumps, motion technique, voice/inflection, and facials. If you are unsure in anyway about any of this material you need to let me or a captain know so we can get you some one on one help! Today I also handed out updated guidelines for absence notifications. If you were absent I will be mailing copies of this to your home to be added to your cheer binder.
