According to a report from the usually reliable www.jetsowner.com site, the "mystery team" that the Winnipeg Sun said reportedly contacted Winnipeg Deputy Mayor Dan Vandal last week about the possibility of relocating there is in fact the Nashville Predators. Though there is no "official confirmation" of this report from Vandal or the Predators, at this time, we do know the Preds have had issues recently with corporate sponsorship and selling luxury suites, and they have been listed before as a team that could possibly relocate.

Also today's Winnipeg Sun reports that the "mystery team" ownership will be coming to Winnipeg shortly to meet with officials from the True North group, owners of Winnipeg's brand new MTS Centre.
