Fe capped off a great career by winning the 2A State Championship in the 400m Dash in a school record time of 56.75. She broke her old school record of 58.11 on her way to outpacing the field. Fe's career day also included a runner-up finish in the 200m Dash in a time of 25.6 seconds.
Sarah Willingham finished 8th in the 3200 as North Henderson finished 8th in the team standings to bring our top 10 state finish streak to 4 years.

Meet Results
North Henderson finished 5th out of 19 teams at the 2008 West Regional Meet. West Henderson repeated as Team Champions followed by Ashe County. North was led by Fe's sweep in the 100, 200 and 400 and Thrilla's victory in the 3200. Fe was named the Most Outstanding Track Athlete of the meet. Fe and Sarah will compete for State Titles in Greensboro next week.
Knights runner-up at WAC Meet
North Henderson Lady Knights overacheived for a second place finish at the 2008 Western Athletic Conference Meet. North was led by All-Conference Performers Felisha Garren and Sarah Willingham. Fe won the 100, 200 and 400, setting meet records in the 100 and 200 and a school record in the 200 (25.48). Sarah won the 3200.
Other top peformers were Kendra Burke, second in 100 Hurdles and 4x200 of Fe, Dalton, Kimbro and Gibbs also finished second.

Fe MVP of Times News Invitational
Felisha swept the sprints to be named the Most Outstanding Track Athlete at the Times News Invitational, her second award in two days. She easily took first place in the 100, 200 and 400. Fe seriously flirted with the meet record in the 200, missing it by .04 seconds. Bailey finished 5th in the discus.
