- The Appalachian Mountain
Club promotes the protection, enjoyment, and wise use of the
mountains, rivers, and trails of the Northeast.
- The Adirondack Mountain Club --
ADK -- is dedicated to the protection and responsible recreational use
of the New York State Forest Preserve, parks and other wild lands and
waters.
- The Green Mountain
Club and its 7500 plus members from across the country share a
love for hiking and a commitment to preserving and protecting the Long
Trail System for future generations.
Hiking Sites
- Hike the Whites. Welcome
to the White Mountains of New Hampshire! This site is dedicated to
hiking, backpacking, skiing, snowshoeing, and all around enjoyment of
the outdoors in this wonderful place.
Peakbagging
- The AMC 4,000 Footer
Club was formed in 1957 to bring together those who had traveled
to some of the less frequently visited areas of the White Mountains of
New Hampshire.
- The Adirondack Forty-Sixers
Club. The membership of the Adirondack Forty-Sixers Inc. consists
of hikers who have climbed to the summits of the 46 major peaks of the
Adirondacks.
- The Catskill
3500 Club is an organization dedicated to climbing and protecting
those Catskill peaks over 3500 feet.
Highpointing
- The Highpointers Club
is dedicated to climbing the highest point in each U.S. state.
- The World and
U.S. Highpoints News is a forum for the discussion of high points
in the U.S. and the World.
- America's Roof is a site
dedicated to the high points of both the U. S. (primary emphasis) and
the rest of the world.
- The County Highpointers
Association provides information for and encourages individuals to
access the highest points in any and every United States county.
Personal State Highpointing Sites
- Alan Ritter's Eclectic
Traveler site, which covers highpointing trips, his
(mis)adventures on "his" mountain (Mt. Ritter), and a smattering of
things about his other multifarious interests.
- Scott Surgent's highpointing
site has trip reports for both his state and county highpointing
adventures.
- Adam's site covers his
attempts on the 50 US state highpoints, a few other highpoints
(National Parks, etc) and other outdoor adventures.
- Chris Swansiger's Higher Ground site has
a record of his state highpoints that is a bit out of date, he is
working on a new site which will have all the new material.

descriptions of his trips to the Idaho county highpoints, a few state
highpoints, and much more.
