Many highpointers use a GPS receiver to navigate to at least some of the highpoints. I have produced lists of the coordinates of the highpoints of the New England states plus New York, giving them in both degrees and minutes plus decimals of a minute and in UTM formats.

Note: All UTM values are based upon the NAD27 datum.

These were derived entirely from the Topozone maps (and for each highpoint a link to corresponding Topozone map is given). When there was a benchmark inside the highest contour the coordinates of the benchmark are given. Otherwise, if the highest contour covered a small area the coordinates of the center of that area are given. When the area is big a reasonably central point was chosen, trip reports were not consulted to try to place it more accurately. The coordinates should be used as a tool to get close to the highpoint, which has to be identified in the field.
