The Xun-Yang Tower
Sent to exile to Jiang Shou,
Song Jiang will meet and befriend some gallant friends there.
So when he will be caught for having written a rebellious poem in a tavern,
Dai Zong and Li Kui, will try to help.
Chao Gai and Wu Yong will try to do
so. Intercepting the Marvellous Traveller, Dai Zong,
as he brings a letter from the Prefect of Jiang Shou to his father, Cai
the Premier, they realise the Imperial authorities wish to kill Song Jiang
to get rid of rebellion. They create a false response thanks to Xiao Rang
and Jin Dajian, two gifted forgers, but Wu Yong makes a fault in his hast
and the plot is discovered.
Song Jiang and Dai Zong are then sentenced
to death by decapitation.
On the day of execution, many merchants, snake-charmers,
porters and medicine men gather on the place. Obeying to a secret signal,
they all begin to fight to free the two heroes. At the same moment, a lonesome
hero, a giant almost naked begins to fight with his two axes. That is Li
Kui on one side, and the Outlaws led by Chao Gai on the other, who gathered
to save Song Jiang.
Li Kui kills the executioners and goes on killing everyone
before him. The 17 bold men of Liangshan Po slaughter every guard they meet.
Song Jiang and Dai Zong are freed and have refuge in a temple. Thanks to
Zhang Shun and his friends,
everyone one will cross the river and get saved.
