Yang Ziong is a respected man in the town of Jizhou.
Official executioner and warden of the town's two
prisons, he is jealoused by astupid soldier Zhang
Bao. When the latter will attack him traitrously,
Shi Xiu,
a perfect unknown, will help the warden. That's
how they become sworn brothers.

But Yang Xiong's wife has a lover, a monk.
When Shi Xiu realises that, he tries in vain to
alert his friend.
Shi Xiu will kill the monk, and Yang Xiong at last
aware, will kill his wife.
The both of them will then flee and join the LiangShan
